Acupuncture + Holistic Medicine + Shamanic Work
I’ve been so fortunate to be involved in the healing field for over 30 years. My approach to healing is largely inspired by my belief in our bodies own healing power. This is reflected in my treatments and how I like to treat.
I come well equipped with many different healing modalities with Chinese Medicine in the foreground of what I use, more specifically acupuncture. It’s a powerful medicine and I use it to stimulate and harmonize the body’s own energy systems so you feel different - less pain more movement, better digestion, deeper sleep, and perhaps, just feeling better. I find it a nourishing medicine as we live in a world that is very demanding of us and to be able to nourish those deeper levels inside of us is beyond beneficial. It is healing.
What I offer you is ways to understand your own life force energy or Qi and how to replenish it. We can also talk about things like gut health, inflammation, and hormone balance. We can talk about how our lifestyle choices influences our gene expression, that food is our best medicine, that time in nature is necessary like brushing our teeth, how feeding our mind with better thoughts is good medicine too, and things that inspire us to live a more inspired life. A well-lived life. And good nutrient support. I want to inspire and inform to help you make different choices for better outcomes in your well-being, in your health from all arenas. I hope to create awareness for you to understand your body, how your emotions affect you, and how you can change anything. I love being a part of change. I have desire to be of service in these ways for people. To be a source of good information.
The straight goods about me – I’m from Canada, Bachelor’s in Phys Ed, career in advertising and writing, the call of natural medicine beckoned me – educated as a Wholistic therapist, became a hiking guide at a fitness/weight loss boot camp, trained as an acupuncturist, was transformed by shamanic work and created a space to be of service.

Shamanic Practitioner
One of my own heart expressions or my medicine – so grateful I’m able to offer this. I’m a shamanic practitioner which means I’ve been trained in doing healing work in a different way but it’s still heart work just a different set of tools to use. I discovered my teachers - Jose, Lena, and Anna Stevens (PowerPath) - about 14 years ago and I haven’t look back as the saying goes. It has taken me into deeper layers of understanding of the body, of healing, and overall, higher frequencies of seeing and living. Effable is the word I would use here, it’s hard to describe but oh so powerful.
In 2012, I completed a one year program followed by Advanced Practitioner trainings opening me to a deeper understanding of healing with the use of sound, plant medicine such as tobacco, and other shamanic tools to help heal spiritual disturbances that present themselves as trauma and pain – physically, emotionally, and mentally.
The lineages of shamanism I follow are of two streams – the Shipbo in Peru and the Wixaritari (Huichols) in Mexico. I continue my own healing work and exploration in these traditions by traveling to Peru and Mexico each year to sit and learn from the shamans and my teachers and being in ceremony. To me, my life is my ceremony.
And a big shout out to my clients, both continuing and those in the future….I’m grateful you allow me the opportunity to discuss this medicine and healing with you, to share with you perhaps, a new lens of the beauty of the world and ourselves.
